houses I love...part one
Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at 10:18AM I'm kicking myself because the way events (and weather) transpired in the days leading up to our move prevented me from getting all the photos I wanted to share of houses I love in my hometown of Winter Park, Florida. Alas, I did manage to get some of them; the others will have to wait til I go back for a visit. Many of these houses I have been driving by for years - others have only recently been on my radar.
Below: I love the color of this house. Can someone please knock on the door and ask what it is?!

Below: I'm positive this address was in my James Gamble Rogers II book, but I have not confirmed that this is one of the houses he designed. It's great either way.

Below: This little gem snuck up on me recently.

Below: I have passed this house a hundred zillion times since I got my driver's license in 1990. So lovely.

Below: Ditto for this classic.

Below: This house was put through a renovation recently and it really stands out now.

Below: This picture I took doesn't begin to do this house justice (I picked a particularly busy traffic day to take a picture). Anyone in Winter Park will know this house. Always meticulously landscaped and, well...perfect.

Below: This is one of my favorite James Gamble Rogers II homes - simply fantastic. The details are incredible. You have to see this one in person to truly appreciate the this work of art.

Below: This is a newer house in the area, but look at the details...and this is just one end of it!

Below: So regal and classic.

Below: Another James Gamble Rogers II classic beauty.

I'm kicking myself again right now because I missed getting so many other pics! Ugh. For another time...
