on my radar: amangiri
Monday, July 2, 2012 at 10:40AM The amazing Diane Keaton mentioned this place in an interview not long ago, and considering that woman has such great style - I knew I should check it out. Amangiri is a luxury resort located in Utah in what is known as Four Corners - an area where the four states of Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado meet. The area is sparsely populated, but has been home to the Navajo and Hopi tribes for centuries. The landscape and ecosystem of this region is incredibly diverse - with the desert areas along with Lake Powell, which was created by the damming of the Colorado River in 1957. All of this makes for incredible hiking, fly fishing, and boating - not to mention the amenities awaiting you at the resort itself. Now, I did mention this was a luxury resort, but certainly a once-in-a-lifetime experience where peace and serenity abound.
